This is a sustainable eco-friendly way of printing using collected leaves, seed-heads, ferns and rusty bits of waste metals. For me, it is also a way of celebrating the lives of these plants and trees even after they have moved onto the next life cycle. A unique gift for yourself or a friend.

Description: This 100% silk habotai hand painted scarf is a one of a kind piece of wearable art and is called Ailish.
This scarf was created using a Japanese technique of Arashi Shibori which involves wrapping the silk around a pole, pushing all the fabric to a small folded area, applying the dyes and waiting for the magic to happen. This is one of my favourite ways to create stunning designs on scarves.
