Try one of these Handcrafted Thumb Book Holders and simplify the process. Use with the pointy side facing into the fold. Made using Irish Spalted Beech that originated in Co Galway Ireland.

Coated with Hampshire Sheen Food & Toy safe Danish Oil and Buffed with 2 Wax Compounds. Very handy small gift for someone at a very reasonable price.
Size approximately  80mm x 34mm inches at the widest points.
The Thumb Hole is 24mm wide and I recommend lining up the back of your nail with the middle of this device. Your thumbnail should only be poking out a little ways through the front. Never push your thumb through if it is a tight fit, instead only use a  fraction of your thumb. The size of the hole is meant to be almost universal. If in doubt, please ask a question.

Shipping Policy
Order & Pay before 11am to get same day dispatch. Anything after 11am is next day dispatch. Domestic Shipping in Ireland is now €9.00 flat rate for DPD Courier Next Day Delivery with tracking. Order as many items from my store as you want and only pay €9.00. For all shipping, the estimated delivery time starts after the day of dispatch.
EU Shipping is for Belgium, France, Germany, Luxemburg & Netherlands only. Please contact me for shipping advice for other countries.
International Orders, shipping is so volatile these days that accurate advanced shipping quotes are nearly impossible for small businesses. Contact me for quote listing the products you want to purchase and the country you want to ship to including proper full address and Zip Code.
Refund Policy
Long Distance Selling rules apply. You have the right to a 14 day cooling off period after receipt of goods. If you are not satisfied with the quality of the products or they are damaged in transit you should within 14 days:
Contact me first and supply photos of what is wrong with your order and then Return the item to the me as soon as is agreed. Not as described or damaged in Transit return shipping costs will be at my expense, you will pay initially for tracked return and I will reimburse you once I receive the goods.
If you change your mind about an item or did not read my description properly then the return tracked shipping will be paid by you the purchaser and this will not be reimbursed. I always over supply details and advise buyers to contact me before purchasing with any product query.
Act as soon as you can – a delay can indicate that you have accepted the goods as is.
Once I receive the returned goods in the same good order as I shipped I will process your original payment as refund. I will not refund before receiving the returned goods. Always use a tracked shipping to return goods to me, lost return package will mean you will not be reimbursed.
Custom or made to order work is non refundable unless damaged in transit. Clear photographs of the shipping box damage and product damage will have to be supplied first before a decision will be made.
